Dela Botri

When he was ten Dela Botri began to play the atenteben, the Ghanaian bamboo flute that is used in both African and Western music. By the time he was fifteen he joined the Nyame Mei Cultural troupe and later the Pan
African Orchestra. In 1995 he founded his own group for traditional Ghanaian music Hewale Sounds. The ensemble gives numerous concerts, demonstrations and workshops at home and abroad. A number of composers have written music for the group. Moreover, In Accra, Dela Botri is a famous teacher of the atenteben.
